Most people have had back pain at least once. Pain usually occurs in the lower back. The causes can be both the consequences of the most common cold, and a serious injury.

back and lower back pain

Back pain can be constant or intermittent and acute or chronic. It depends on various circumstances. Common reasons for its appearance:

  • disc rupture;
  • menstrual cramps;

  • osteoarthritis;
  • appendicitis;
  • tumor;
  • weight lifting.

back pain symptoms

Pain differs depending on the disease. For example, when a disc is impinged, there is a sudden or gradually increasing pain. It starts in the back and spreads to the buttocks and legs. A person needs rest, as movement, sneezing, coughing only increase the pain. A disease such as appendicitis causes severe back pain. If it does not subside, see a doctor immediately! Symptoms of endometriosis are pain and spasm in the lower back. Usually, before or during the menstrual cycle, the pain intensifies. When the lower back is stretched, acute pain occurs, with lateral movements, muscle spasm occurs. Rest can make you feel better.

Symptoms that indicate a problem:

back pain while sitting
  • dizziness;
  • noise in ears;
  • weakness;

  • intensification of pain.

Pain diagnostics

It is enough for an experienced doctor to examine the spine and listen to the patient's complaints to diagnose the disease. But there are situations when these actions alone are not enough. In these cases, special diagnostic methods are used - x-rays, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.

  1. Grate horseradish and mix with sour cream. Put the resulting mass on the lower back, cover with a napkin and tie a woolen scarf or scarf on top.
  2. Use St. John's wort, thyme, black elderberry and chamomile. A hot compress of these herbs with a wrap will warm up your back well if it has been cold. The procedure is best done at night.
  3. Burdock leaves have a healing effect. Dry them first, then pour over with boiling water and apply to the sore spot for an hour.
  4. Horse chestnut is widely used. Thoroughly grind the dried flowers into powder, take melted lard and camphor oil, mix the ingredients in equal proportions. Spread the mixture on a piece of black bread and apply to the sore spot.
  5. Use compresses based on garlic infusion. It is mixed with lemon juice. Soak a cotton napkin in this mixture and apply for twenty minutes on a sore spot.
